About the author, illustrator and Ted!

Anthea Simmons is an author, citizen journalist, and campaigner. She lives close to Farmer Ted and used to keep a horse on the farm. She is looking forward to the book where we meet Apple, the little pony that Ted rides!

Author and illustrator Christine Allison works from her studio overlooking Lyme Bay in Dorset. She is enjoying getting to know Ted and all the animals on the farm.

Farmer Ted is a real boy who lives on a mixed cattle and sheep farm in the foothills of Haytor, Dartmoor, Devon. He has his own flock of Blue Texels as well as his lovely Cheviot, Lily Baa. He hopes to be a farmer when he grows up, like his mum and dad.
